AWS Data Centers Damaged in Bahrain

Satellite imagery reviewed by multiple outlets indicates physical damage at two Amazon Web Services data centers in Zallaq and Askar, Bahrain, after attacks claimed by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

AWS had already said the affected Middle East region could not reliably support customer operations and advised customers to move workloads elsewhere. The incident highlights the exposure of cloud facilities to regional conflict and the difficulty of assessing operational impact when official information is limited.
