Yara has begun operating a carbon capture system at its ammonia plant in Sluiskil, the Netherlands, designed to capture and liquefy up to 800,000 metric tons of CO2 annually. Ships will transport the CO2 to Norway for permanent storage through Northern Lights, establishing a commercial cross-border capture, transport, and storage chain.
