Apex Clean Energy and Meta signed a power purchase agreement covering the 144-MW Starling Solar project in Gonzales County, Texas. Meta will receive the project’s electricity and renewable energy credits, while Apex expects the facility to add new generation to the ERCOT grid and begin commercial operations in 2027, although an ERCOT listing gives January 2028 as an anticipated date. The project is part of a seven-project, approximately 1.2-GW Apex-Meta renewable portfolio and is expected to produce local tax revenue, landowner payments, construction jobs, and community grants.
