Youth Pushes AI Policy at UN

More than 600 young people gathered at United Nations Headquarters in New York and presented a Youth-led Declaration on AI Policy and Governance intended to inform UN processes, including the Global Digital Compact.

The initiative emphasizes early youth participation, wider access to AI infrastructure and computing capacity, safeguards against inequality, and employment concerns, but the declaration has not been formally adopted by the UN.
