Volta Plans Norway AI Data Center

Volta plans to convert Bitdeer’s former cryptocurrency-mining site in Tydal, Norway, into an AI data center using Nvidia Vera Rubin systems.

The project is described as having roughly 121 to 133 MW of IT capacity and may support a six-year, $10 billion compute arrangement with Anthropic. If delivered, it would give Volta an anchor customer and repurpose existing industrial capacity, while the reported scale, financing, and schedule remain subject to clarification.
