Vineland Data Center Expansion Faces Pushback

Data One is advancing a major data center in Vineland, New Jersey, where the Planning Board approved a 600,000-square-foot second phase while the city separately halted unapproved work involving fuel cells and a proposed LNG tank.

The planned facility is expected to reach 2.6 million square feet and 300 megawatts, but residents continue to challenge its effects on water use, power demand, air quality, noise, vibration, and property values. The approvals and enforcement actions could affect the project’s construction timeline, operating conditions, and community acceptance.
