Raleigh Data Center Plan Withdrawn

A proposed data center on Jones Sausage Road in southeast Raleigh was withdrawn before the city could complete annexation and related approvals.

The roughly 100,000-square-foot facility would have required 12 megawatts of power and access to Raleigh water, while residents and council members raised concerns about electricity costs, drought-related water demand, noise, heat, transparency, and possible expansion. The purchaser was not publicly identified, and it remains unclear whether a revised proposal could return.
