S.-based joint venture intended to make Google Tensor Processing Units available through a compute-as-a-service offering, with data-center capacity, operations, and networking. Blackstone committed an initial $5 billion in equity, while Google is to provide TPU hardware, software, and services; the offering is designed to provide access outside Google Cloud. The venture’s stated rollout plan targets an initial 500 megawatts of capacity in 2027, with further expansion, and Google executive Benjamin Treynor Sloss was named CEO.
