Generac Expands Generator Capacity

Generac plans to invest $250 million through 2027, add about 1,000 workers, and substantially increase generator capacity as data-center operators seek more backup power.

Siemens and other suppliers are also expanding U.S. production, while the data-center electrical equipment market is projected to grow from $33 billion in 2025 to $66 billion in 2030. The expansion supports facility reliability but leaves manufacturers exposed to a potential slowdown and raises environmental concerns around fuel-based backup systems.
