Fulton County Opposes Data Center Incentives

Fulton County commissioners unanimously approved a resolution opposing property-tax abatements and other financial incentives used to attract data centers, urging the county development authority to reject future subsidies.

The action reflects growing scrutiny of the public cost of large facilities as assessed data center values rise and concerns persist over power, water, noise, and traffic. The resolution does not remove municipal zoning authority or automatically cancel existing incentives.
