Amazon’s Built Together

Coverage from The New York Times, The Register, and others

Amazon’s Built Together topic image

Amazon’s Built Together framework directs investment and other support to communities near its U.

S. data centers. Its commitments include workforce training, locally directed grants, education and efficiency projects, water replenishment, energy-related measures, public reporting, and community engagement. The framework connects these initiatives to concerns residents and local officials raise about data-center development, including water supplies, electricity costs, construction impacts, and transparency. It is a company program for addressing host-community priorities, rather than a general account of data-center expansion or other operators’ projects.
