Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is investigating whether land in Taylor, Texas, proposed for a Blueprint Projects AI data center remains subject to a parkland-use restriction or charitable trust created by a 1999 deed. The property passed through the City of Taylor and Taylor Economic Development Corporation before being sold to NCP Travis TPP Project, LLC, for $10 million in April 2025. If the restriction was not lawfully modified, released, or terminated, Paxton’s office may seek court intervention to enforce it, potentially affecting the proposed development.
