North Macedonia Expands Green Financing

North Macedonia’s Green Finance Facility provided affordable financing from 2023 to 2025 for heat pumps, rooftop solar, and energy-efficiency improvements among households and small and medium-sized enterprises.

Reported results include 65,345 MWh in annual energy savings and more than 50,700 tonnes of annual CO2 reductions, alongside lower PM2.5 and PM10 pollution in cities including Skopje and Tetovo. Further targets through 2027 focus on expanding household savings and reducing air pollution.
