Egypt Tests Agrivoltaic Farming

Egyptian farmers and researchers are testing agrivoltaic systems that place solar panels above crops to generate electricity while shading fields from intense heat and reducing water loss.

Early trials, including watermelon cultivation in South Sinai, are examining panel layouts, crop performance, and the use of solar power for irrigation.
