Poll Shows Collins Leading Jackson 49%-46% in Maine image

A New York Times, Portland Press Herald and Siena survey found Republican Sen. Susan Collins leading Democrat Troy Jackson 49% to 46% among Maine voters surveyed Sept. 15–22. The lead is within the poll’s margin of error, and other recent polls showed Jackson ahead. The survey was largely conducted before ProPublica published new allegations concerning Collins, so it does not measure any effect of that report.
