UKGI Exposes 51 Officials’ Data

UK Government Investments disclosed that an internal file containing management information and the names and work email addresses of 51 government officials was publicly accessible for approximately 40 hours.

UKGI attributed the exposure to a failure to follow information-security policies, referred the incident to the Information Commissioner’s Office and its board, and commissioned an external review that recommended stronger access controls and incident preparedness.
