Origin Energy confirmed that unauthorized access to its systems exposed personal information belonging to approximately 900,000 current and former customers in Australia.

The data reportedly included names, contact details, dates of birth, account information, and limited payment identifiers, but not complete card or bank credentials. Australian authorities are investigating the incident, while Origin is securing systems, notifying affected customers, and providing support and identity-monitoring services.
