Navajo Veterans’ Records Exposure Probed

Navajo Nation officials referred a USB drive containing sensitive veterans’ records to the FBI after it was found at a laundromat in Farmington, New Mexico.

Reported files included Social Security information, military records, identification documents, financial assistance applications, tax forms, and direct-deposit details. Authorities are investigating how the device was misplaced, whether unauthorized access occurred, and which veterans may be affected.
