Labcorp Settles AMCA Breach Claims

Labcorp agreed to a $35 million settlement resolving claims tied to unauthorized access at American Medical Collection Agency, a former vendor that handled patient debt collection.

The incident exposed personal and health-related information, with reported estimates of affected Labcorp patients ranging from about 7.7 million to more than 10.25 million. Eligible individuals may receive cash payments or reimbursement for documented losses and up to two years of medical or identity-monitoring services, subject to court approval and possible appeals.
