First Advantage Phishing Breach Exposes Screening Data

First Advantage reported that a phishing attack led to unauthorized access to an employee email account and the downloading of inbox contents in November 2025.

The exposed information may have included names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, dates of birth, email addresses and passwords, affecting at least 4,669 people in one reported disclosure and about 200 individuals connected to Rich Products. The incident highlights the exposure created when employment screening and occupational health data are handled by third-party vendors.
