Baylor Genetics experienced unauthorized access to part of its network from June 11 through June 17, 2026, potentially exposing sensitive patient and employee records.

Reports identify laboratory and genetic-testing results, insurance and payment information, and some Social Security numbers among the affected data, with 248,430 Texas residents cited in a state report. The incident raises risks of targeted phishing and fraud, although no related identity theft, fraud, or data misuse had been confirmed at the time of reporting.
