AI Agents Expose Sensitive Data Paths

Agentic AI systems are gaining access to browsers, credentials, enterprise applications, files, and communications, creating new paths for attackers to influence actions and extract sensitive data.

Demonstrations and reported incidents show that prompt injection, excessive permissions, exposed management interfaces, and sandbox escape routes can let agents chain otherwise authorized steps into harmful outcomes. The dominant security response is to treat agents as privileged users, limit their scope, isolate execution, require approval for sensitive actions, and maintain detailed audit trails.
