Office of Strategic Capital has conditionally committed up to $820 million to Performance Drone Works for expanded domestic production of drone propulsion, power, control, and vision components at its Huntsville, Alabama facility. The plan is intended to strengthen supply for defense and other drone uses, while unresolved financing requirements, reliance on difficult-to-replace foreign inputs, and potential FCC restrictions leave the broader domestic supply transition incomplete.
