Project Halo Shield at Warminster

Project Halo Shield is a British Army initiative to provide passive counter-drone detection at Warminster Garrison.

Its initial system combines Dedrone radio-frequency sensors and command-and-control software with Quell’s SkySpyke electro-optical technology to detect, track, classify, and help identify airborne objects. During 17 days of monitoring, it recorded 29 drone alerts at distances of up to five kilometres, without identifying a threat. The deployment also supports Army training and is intended to inform possible expansion incorporating radar, acoustic sensors, and—subject to authorization—active effectors.
