Project Halo Shield

Coverage from GOV.UK, IRIA News, and others

Project Halo Shield topic image

Project Halo Shield is a British Army initiative to detect drones around military sites using a layered system that does not itself disable them.

At Warminster Garrison, Dedrone’s radio-frequency sensors and command-and-control software work alongside Quell’s SkySpyke optical platform to detect and track airborne objects. The deployment has also supported Army experimentation and training, with experience there informing possible expansion to other garrisons and additional sensor types, including radar and acoustic systems.
