National Guard Expands FPV Drone Training
Coverage from DVIDS, National Guard, and others

The U.S.
National Guard is expanding hands-on training for small FPV attack drones, broader UAS operations, and counter-UAS missions. Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania, is upgrading its training facility, ranges, simulators, urban practice areas, and repair labs while preparing to train active-duty and reserve units on systems selected through the Drone Gauntlet program. Michigan is also training soldiers to pair reconnaissance drones with smaller explosive-carrying systems and to adapt defenses against changing drone designs. The changes shift drone preparation toward recurring operator, maintainer, live-fire, and counter-drone instruction.
