Wildfire is General Atomics Aeronautical Systems’ proposed long-endurance uncrewed aircraft for missions ranging from intelligence and surveillance to strike and possible cargo transport.
Designed for modularity, lower-cost production, and attrition tolerance, it is intended to support collaborative control of multiple aircraft rather than rely solely on one platform. General Atomics has proposed Wildfire for the Defense Innovation Unit’s Massed Modular Aircraft program as an alternative to some MQ-9A Reaper missions. Reported design features include more than 8,000 nautical miles of ferry range and carriage of Long-Range Anti-Ship or Joint Strike Missiles.
