Drone-based geospatial mapping brings together LiDAR sensors, cameras, aircraft, and software to create accurate maps and point clouds.
Systems such as GeoCue’s TrueView payloads pair laser scanning with imagery and navigation technology, while processing tools such as LP360 turn collected data into classified, visualized, and deliverable results. Other approaches use drone images to create georeferenced maps or connect scanner-generated point clouds with platforms such as Trimble’s. These workflows support surveying and the mapping of infrastructure, utilities, corridors, buildings, and construction projects.
