WZ-X drone
Coverage from Asia Times, Interesting Engineering, and others

WZ-X is an informal label for a suspected Chinese large flying-wing aircraft identified in satellite imagery and photographs, including imagery associated with the Malan test facility in Xinjiang.
Its serrated trailing edge and reported scale have prompted assessments that it may be designed for low observability and long-range operations. Possible missions include intelligence collection, communications relay, targeting and strike, but the aircraft’s designation, capabilities and operational status have not been confirmed. The case illustrates how limited visual evidence can inform assessments of an aircraft’s design and potential role without establishing what it can do.
